Brazil vs Japan

Start Time: 1:00 PM EST

The FIFA World Cup Round of 32 continues tomorrow, after my home country, Canada, became the first team to punch its ticket to the Round of 16 on Sunday. Six more teams look to do the same on Monday, including Brazil and Japan down in Houston.

Brazil rolled through Group C, going 2-0-1, outscoring its opponents 7-1, and winning the group. Japan also went undefeated in Group F, going 1-0-2 and finishing second to the Netherlands.

My initial thought was to just play Brazil to win this game on the moneyline, but I’ve found a better angle and a better line (for plus money!) instead. I’m taking the over 2.5 goals for this matchup. Both squads went over 2.5 goals in two of their three group-stage games, and when they last played each other (last October), five goals were scored in the game (a 3-2 victory for Japan).
