MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 119
UFC Fight Night: Kape vs Horiguchi (aka UFC Vegas 119)
Main Card Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
While Saturday’s Fight Night is your typical “APEX slop”, it does have a very compelling main event. Manel Kape and Kyoji Horiguchi will battle in what could be a #1 contender fight in the flyweight division.
This fight is actually a rematch, with Horiguchi submitting Kape in 2017 in Japanese promotion RIZIN. And, despite being an underdog, I think the Japanese fighter will win the rematch as well.
Horiguchi is just as good as Kape on the feet and just as dangerous a striker, but he’s also superior in the grappling and wrestling. I think Horiguchi’s complete, all-around game will get his hand raised on Saturday and allow us to cash a plus-money bet.
