Montreal Canadiens vs Carolina Hurricanes
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Is this finally the year that the Carolina Hurricanes break through? After finding the Eastern Conference Finals their glass ceiling three of the past four years, this year has the makings of finally being the one that the Canes break through and make the Stanley Cup Finals.
Skunking both their opponents in this playoff run and outscoring them 24-10 through the eight games certainly is a positive start for Carolina. As is having the only underdog team to make it to the conference finals this year, the Montreal Canadiens, as the final hurdle before the Cup Finals.
Assuming the historic 11 days off before tomorrow’s Game 1 hasn’t allowed too much rust to accumulate, the Hurricanes shouldn’t have any trouble with the Habs on Thursday night on their home ice. The Carolina Hurricanes on the moneyline is my best bet for Thursday.
