NBA Playoffs Predictions & Preview For Wednesday, May 20th
San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder
Start Time – 8:30 PM EST
What a wild Game 1 we got in the Western Conference Finals, as the San Antonio Spurs upset the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder on their home floor in overtime. The Thunder definitely did not cover the spread as I predicted they would.
This is a game that the champs should never have lost. De’Aaron Fox sat out for the Spurs (he’s a game-time decision for Wednesday night), and Stephen Castle, manning most of Fox’s point guard duties, turned the ball over 11 times. Plus, Alex Caruso went supernova for the Thunder.
A bad night for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and a transcendent one for Victor Wembanyama was the story of the game. Do I expect a repeat performance in Game 2? Maybe from Wemby, but not from the back-to-back MVP or the Thunder as a whole. OKC isn’t going to lay an egg in back-to-back games on their home floor.
My line for Game 2 is Oklahoma City -7.5, so the Thunder will even up the series and will cover the spread. Because I said so.
Best Bet: Oklahoma City -6.5 (-104)
2025/6 Overall Record: 212-170 (55%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $2,140.40
Return on Investment: 6%
