MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – March 26

Chicago White Sox vs. Milwaukee Brewers

First Pitch – 2:10 pm EST
American Family Field – Milwaukee, WI
Broadcast – MLB TV

In the top of the first, the White Sox will have to try to hit off of Jacob Misiorowski. While he has only been a starter in the majors for 14 total starts, he’s shown top of the rotation stuff and earned the opening day start. In 66.0 innings last year, he record 87 strikeouts. The White Sox’s offense seems to have improved a bit, but they were 27th in the majors in run scoring last year. I’m not sure they have the firepower to get to the kid early in this one, which should give us a clean top of the first.

While the bottom of the inning might be a bit more of a sweat, I really like the matchup here as well. Shane Smith was surprisingly good for the White Sox in 2025. He closed the season with a sub-4.00 ERA and held opponents to one or less runs in three of his last four starts. That includes one with the high-powered Yankees offense, who scored just one run and fanned eight times in 5.0 innings. Add in that the Brewers were in the bottom third of the league in terms of first inning scoring and Smith should be able to close this one out for us.

NRFI/YRFI Bet for March 26: No (-140)

Cleveland Guardians vs. Seattle Mariners

First Pitch – 10:10 pm EST
Oracle Park – Seattle, WA
Broadcast – MLB TV

The nightcap features another game with a team that couldn’t hit last year. The Guardians ranked 28th in the league in run scoring in 2025 and didn’t do too much to bolster the bats heading into this one. Now they’ll run into Logan Gilbert, who posted a 3.44 ERA last season and was money down the stretch. In the final month of the season, he posted a 2.30 ERA and never once allowed more than two runs in a game. Look for him to kick off the year with a bit of that magic as well.

We’ll look to close out our second NRFI with Tanner Bibee on the bump. While his 2025 was a bit up and down, he similarly closed the season strong. He posted a 1.30 ERA in the month of September with 26 strikeouts in 27.2 innings. He finished 35th on the year in strikeouts, which should help him get out of any jams against this Seattle team. They finished the year with the fourth most strikeouts of any team hitting last season. I expect Bibee to get a few more and give us a clean frame on Thursday.

NRFI/YRFI Bet for March 25: No (-150)
