The UFC may be in its ‘offseason’ and has closed up shop until the end of the month, but that doesn’t mean the MMA world has gone completely dark. For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: ARES FC 37, we’re headed to Nice, France, and I’m betting on the main event ending in a submission. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

ARES FC 37: AUGEN VS SHIGUEMOTO 2
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST Friday
Friday’s ARES FC 37 is topped by two title fights, with the main event for the AFC Middleweight Championship. This is also a rematch, with the current champ, the 8-0 Virgil Augen of France, looking to turn back his Brazilian challenger, Henrique Shiguemoto, once more.
Except this time I’m betting on Augen to finish Shiguemoto on the mat, instead of winning via decision as he did in their first encounter back in December 2023. Augen got Shiguemoto down to the mat multiple times in that fight, and with the Brazilian having been submitted three times in his career, and Augen winning four of his five fights via submission, I think the Frenchman gets the tap.
