Week 3 of NFL action is here, and it starts with Thursday Night Football in Orchard Park. Tua Tagovailoa and the 0-2 Miami Dolphins make the trip to Buffalo to face Josh Allen and the 2-0 Buffalo Bills. Let’s jump in and preview the Dolphins at Bills on Thursday Night Football.
The Miami Dolphins limp into this Week 3 game. They got their doors blown off Week 1 against Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts. Week 2 they had a back-and-forth game with the New England Patriots but came out on the losing side. An embarrassing loss in this game, could be the final game for Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel.
The Buffalo Bills look like their regular, regular season selves. They opened the season with that thrilling comeback on Sunday Night Football to beat the Baltimore Ravens late. In Week 2 they easily dispatched the New York Jets.

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills Preview and Predictions
Jaylen Waddle Under 51.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Like the Miami Dolphins against the Buffalo Bills, Jaylen Waddle just hasn’t been good against the Bills. He’s not gone over this number in four straight matchups with the Bills. Last time he played the Bills, you had more reclining yards than he did. Waddle checked in with -4 on the day. Only twice in the eight games he’s played against the team has he gone over. The last time he did, he was preparing for Christmas in 2022.

Against the Colts Waddle had four receptions, but only for 30 yards. He did cross the 52-yard mark last week against an injured Patriots secondary but only managed 68 yards in total. In 2024, Waddle only went over this total in five of the 15 games he played.
Buffalo Bills -11.5 (-110)
11.5 points on a short week in a divisional game is a lot of points to lay. However, I do not care. This Miami team is bad. They’ve not looked good in either game this year, and if Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts could not punt against them and beat them 33-8. It doesn’t scare me to take Josh Allen and the Bills by 12.
The Bills have owned the Dolphins as of late. They’ve won the last six games head-to-head, and an astonishing 13 of their last 14 matchups. They’ve also destroyed them in the first matchup of the season the last two years, including a Thursday night game just last season where the Bills won by 21 points. Don’t overthink this one.
