Week 4 of College Football action is here! After hitting two of the three legs in last week’s upset parlay, only missing out on the huge dog. We’re back and ready to load up again and go for it. More teams are getting into conference play, and we’re to the point in the season where we are really starting to learn who some of these teams are. Let’s head to the upset parlay lab and call our shot on the best College Football Week 4 upsets.
Now is a good time to remind you to bet these teams individually on the moneyline, and I like to bet them with the points as well. If you did this last week, it was hugely successful. If we think they are good enough to pull the upset, it makes a great case for taking them with the points as well.
College Football Week 4 Best Bets: Upset Parlay
North Carolina Tarheels (+210)
Bill Belichick takes his North Carolina squad on the road this week to Orlando, Florida, to face Scott Frost and the Golden Knights of Central Florida. Yes, the Belichick era got off to a bad start with a shellacking by TCU, but don’t let that cloud betting on this team. They bounced back and beat Charlotte and then destroyed the Spiders of Richmond last week.
UCF hasn’t exactly looked stellar in its two games either. Last week, they dispatched North Carolina A&T as they should have. But in their first game, they struggled against Conference USA opponent Jacksonville State. The Golden Knights were losing that game 10-3 well into the fourth quarter before making a comeback. Frost likes to run the ball, but UCF had a hard time against a mid-tier opponent in Jacksonville State, where they only averaged 2.9 yards per rush on 37 attempts.
UCF’s rushing defense has also struggled, ranking as one of the worst in the FBS. Belichick has found a young running back he loves to lean on in Demon June. Carolina’s defense has looked good in the last two games as the system got installed and players got adjusted to what was expected of them. A legendary head coach and defensive wizard is now going up against a head coach who is 6-22 in one-score games since 2018? Give me Belichick to outsmart Frost and win this game against a Big 12 opponent.
Nebraska Cornhuskers (+120)
Just like last week, we’re going to glue the middle of this parlay together with a small dog. Small dogs bite, too. Southern Miss gave us no sweat last week as they easily held up their leg, and let’s hope Nebraska can do the same in Week 4. It’s year three of Matt Rhule, the same year he made a big difference at both Temple and Baylor. Watch Rhule’s locker room speech below; he’s not messing around this season. He’s got the #2 overall quarterback from the 2024 recruiting class in Dylan Raiola. Raiola, who models himself after Patrick Mahomes, has looked good the last two weeks against lesser opponents. He’ll be put to the test this weekend.

Michigan is without head coach Sherrone Moore as he serves a suspension for the Michigan sign-stealing scandal. They have the #1 overall recruit from this year’s class as their quarterback in Bryce Underwood. Underwood looked good against Central Michigan and New Mexico. He struggled on the road in a rough environment in Norman, Oklahoma, however. He was just 9-24 passing the ball, as the Wolverines fell to the Sooners 24-13. Now, in just his fourth career game as a true freshman, he heads into one of the hardest and loudest environments in the country. I was personally at the Colorado game last year, and the crowd made a huge difference in that game. With this shutdown defense, the Husker faithful crowd, and an experienced Raiola leading the team. Give me the Huskers in this one.
Wyoming Cowboys (+380)
For the final piece of our parlay, let’s head to Boulder, Colorado. They say if you have more than one quarterback, you don’t have any quarterbacks. That’s the problem for the Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders. Colorado will turn the keys back over to Kaidon Salter this week as they continue to search for answers. Outside of the quarterback, this Colorado team hasn’t looked good. And let’s face it, they haven’t been good for a while, even struggling with Heisman winner Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders the last few years. Their defense has made opposing quarterbacks look great.
Wyoming, on the other hand, has been outstanding. #16 Utah wore them down in the second half last week after a strong first half, keeping the game within reach. Chris Durr Jr will need a career game at wide receiver for the Cowboys to get this done. Luckily for him, the Buffaloes’ secondary has been getting shredded. The handicap here is simple. This Wyoming team is heading into this game knowing they can take down a Big 12 opponent from the big school across the border and beat “Primetime.” Their stifling defense will keep them in it. They’ll cover the 13.5 points easily, and I think they’ll take down the Buffalo, like any good Cowboy should.
Parlay North Carolina + Nebraska + Wyoming (+3174)
Tossing these three in our Week 4 College Football upset parlay nets us a great +3174 number, and a cool $20 would return $634.72. Grab the popcorn and your favorite beverage, get settled in front of the TV, and root for the dogs this week.
