Being a degen is a core principle of our SGPN family. Well, what’s more degen than sweating out how many 180s will be thrown in a darts match? Or how many kills a player will get in Call of Duty? Allow us to introduce our Degens Only Play of the Day, a pick so obscure, it will have you friends questioning your sanity.
Every day, we scour sportsbooks and DFS sites for that one special play off the beaten path. Today, we turn our attention to the BIG3 basketball league’s title game. Here the Chicago Triplets will take on the Miami 305 to crown a champion.
BIG3 Basketball Betting Pick: Degens Only Play of the Day
Chicago Triplets Over Miami 305 (+105 via DraftKing)
Saturday, August 24th, 2:00pm ET
Chicago finished the regular season as the top team in the league posting a 6-2 record in the process. It took down the fourth-seeded LA Riot 50-38 in the playoffs earning them the right to play in the title game. The Triplets have one BIG3 championship trophy in their case having won it all in the 2019 season. They made the finals in 2023, but finished as the runner-up to the Enemies that year.
Miami enters this finals matchup with a 5-3 record. It was third overall in the regular season rankings. The 305 have the second highest scoring output in the league this year. On top of that, their defense allowed the fewest points during the regular season. They earned their championship appearance after a hard fought 50-47 win against the second seed Dallas Power.
It all goes down this Sunday.@Michael8easley and the Miami 305 face off against Montrezl Harrell and the Chicago Triplets in the BIG3 showdown of the year. Championship time!!! +All Star Game

These teams met in Week 8 with Chicago leaving the court with a 50-41 victory. The Triplets leaned on Montrezl Harrell who led all scorers with 28 points. Chicago’s defense also came up big, holding the league’s leading scorer Michael Beasley to just 17 points. It’s surprising to see the best team in the regular season as underdogs in this game, especially since they have a recent win against their opponents. Take this line and don’t look back.
Good luck on this and all of your plays today. We’ll be back with another Degens Only Play of the Day tomorrow. While you’re here, check out some of my other contributions to the SGPN.
