Being a degen is a core principle of our SGPN family. Well, what’s more degen than sweating out how many 180s will be thrown in a darts match? Or how many kills a player will get in Call of Duty? Allow us to introduce our Degens Only Play of the Day, a pick so obscure, it will have you friends questioning your sanity.
Every day, we scour sportsbooks and DFS sites for that one special play off the beaten path. Today, we turn our attention to Jeddah and the Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters where they are entering their quarter-finals round.
Snooker Betting PIck: Degens Only Play of the Day
Kyren Wilson Over Ronnie O’Sullivan (-132 via FANDUEL)
Thursday, August 14th, 12:30pm ET
O’Sullivan enters this quarter-finals match on a two-game win streak in this tournament. The Englishman has been on an even hotter streak as of late winning six of his last eight matches dating back to the World Championship back in April. However, his two losses came in playoff rounds and eliminated him from title contention in each of those tournaments. His most recent contest was a 6-5 win in a slugfest against Chang Bingyu.
On the other hand, Wilson is riding a seven match winning streak heading into this quarter-finals match. Earlier this month, the Englishman took home the top spot in the Shanghai Masters. Back in March, he took down the World’s top ranked player Judd Trump in the Players Championship.

Wilson has come out on the winning side of his last six matches and twice this year against O’Sullivan including a 6-3 victory in the Shanghai Masters in July. To make matters worse for O’Sullivan, It has been over four years since he has gotten the better of Wilson.
DraftKings has Wilson as short as -140 to advance to the semi-finals while ESPN BET has him at -135 to win on Thursday. You can put a few extra dollars in your pocket by taking the slightly discounted price FanDuel is offering you.
Good luck on this and all of your plays today. We’ll be back with another Degens Only Play of the Day tomorrow. While you’re here, check out some of my other contributions to the SGPN.
