Check the early start time tomorrow in Beantown – don’t get your bet in late. Both the Houston Astros and Boston Red Sox solidified their rosters at the trade deadline, and the early results have been in the Sox’s favor, as they’ve won the first two games of this weekend series with the ‘Stros.
One of the new (old) names added to Houston’s roster is three-time All-Star Carlos Correa, who has returned and shifted over one position to the left, manning third base for his old team. And he’s bound to make a splash tomorrow morning/afternoon in Fenway.
That’s because Lucas Giolito is on the mound for the Red Sox. While he’s having a perfectly good season for Boston, he has a nemesis in Correa. The All-Star has a slash of .259/.333/.593 in 30 career plate appearances against the righty.
