Tomorrow brings us the smallest MLB slate I can remember ever seeing, at least this season. There are only three games scheduled on Thursday. But that’s not going to stop us from finding a winner. Atlanta Braves vs Cincinnati Reds
Start Time: 7:10 PM EST
The Cincinnati Reds are the reason I lost on my best bet on Wednesday, as they beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2, and I was in on the Dodgers. So if you can’t beat them, join them.
The Reds are having a very solid season, with their .523 winning percentage the franchise’s best since 2013. Plus, the advanced stats state that Cincinnati should have a couple more wins, if not for some bad luck.
The Atlanta Braves, meanwhile, are nothing but bad luck, with their opening day starting rotation all currently on the injured list. Sitting at 45-62, this has turned into another lost season for the Braves.
We’ll make this simple – the better team, playing at home, with the better starting pitcher (Andrew Abbott vs Carlos Carrasco). The Cincinnati Reds on the moneyline is my best bet for Thursday.
