I originally zeroed in on this game for my prop play because the Los Angeles Angels strike out so much – they have the second most whiffs at the plate in the majors this year (behind the terrible Colorado Rockies). However, I don’t like the K’s projection for New York Mets starter Kodai Senga tomorrow, so I’ve pivoted to a Mets batting prop.
The player in question would be Brandon Nimmo, who is having another strong season in Flushing for the Mets. And I expect that to continue tomorrow against the Angels, because Tyler Anderson will be on the mound. Anderson is not having a good year for LA, and what’s worse for him is that Nimmo has feasted on him over his career. The Mets hitter has a career slash of .533/.563/.733 against Anderson in 16 plate appearances. Look for him to add to that on Monday.
