So, not to step on Daniel Vreeland’s toes, who is doing daily NBA Summer League picks, I’m also hitting the hardwood tomorrow for my best bet. Best Bet For Thursday (July 17th): NBA Summer League Predictions
SAN ANTONIO SPURS vs CHARLOTTE HORNETS
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Someone tomorrow is going to lose their 0, as the 3-0 San Antonio Spurs face the 3-0 Charlotte Hornets. And I’m not liking the Spurs’ chances on Thursday since they have announced that they’ll be shutting down the #2 pick from last month’s draft, Dylan Harper, for the rest of Summer League.
Plus, the Hornets have a surprisingly strong and stacked roster, with six players averaging in double figures, with second-year pro KJ Simpson leading the way. They also are stacked with 2025 draft talent, including picks #4 and #6 (Kon Knueppel and Tidjane Salaun, respectively). Hopefully, the new Charlotte players don’t get too used to winning, because when the regular season rolls around, they won’t be doing much of it.
