I barely missed on both of my WNBA bets on Tuesday, dropping me to 5-10 for the month. I hate the WNBA. Here are your WNBA predictions and preview for Tuesday, July 15th.

Indiana Fever vs Connecticut Sun

Start Time: 8:00 PM EST

You know who else hates the WNBA right now? The Connecticut Sun and their fans. The Sun are absolutely rotten, sitting in the basement of the league with a 3-18 record (and they are lucky to have three wins – the advanced stats say they should only be 1-20).

But, the Sun are at home tomorrow, where they’ve recorded two of their three wins. And the Indiana Fever are perfectly mediocre on the road (4-4). My line for this game is Indiana -14, so I’m tentatively taking the Sun on the spread.

Best Bet: Connecticut +15.5 (+100)

Washington Mystics vs Los Angeles Sparks

Start Time: 10:00 PM EST

While they are both free and clear of the Sun, neither the Washington Mystics nor the Los Angeles Sparks are having breakout seasons this year, either (although the Mystics are 11-10, compared to the Sparks’ record of 7-14).

But, for some reason, the Sparks are crummy at home, only winning twice in 10 attempts. After crunching the numbers, I have this game lined up as Los Angeles -0.5, so, like the Sun play, I’ll cautiously take the Sparks on the spread.
