Los Angeles Sparks vs Indiana Fever
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Could Indiana Fever star second-year guard Caitlin Clark be susceptible to the “sophomore slump”? All her numbers, save for a slight tick up in assists and steals, are down from her superb rookie season, so it appears the answer is yes. Plus, she missed time due to a quad injury, and teams continue to target her with rough play. Things aren’t so rosy for Clark currently.
So, I’m going to fade her as the Los Angeles Sparks come to town to take on the Fever on Thursday night. Clark’s point total is set at 20.5 tomorrow, a point amount she’s only managed to top twice in the nine games she’s played. And she’s coming off a season low of six points in her last game.
Clark is bound to break out of this eventually – she started last season slowly as well. Let’s just hope that day isn’t tomorrow.
