PFL Bantamweight Fight: Justin Wetzell vs Mando Gutierrez
Card Start Time: Friday (6/20), 5:30pm EST (ESPN)
In the quarterfinals, Mando Gutierrez shocked the world with a big upset the way he has his whole career. His sneaky wrestling and grappling skills regularly make him dangerous to everyone he comes across and might underestimate those skills.
While those skills are good, he’s met his match in this one in terms of those skills. Wetzell is fresh off his quarterfinals fight where he outwrestled his Russian counterpart Kasum Kasumov. His wrestling skills are about as good as you’ll see in this tournament and should be enough to dictate where this fight goes.
As long as he keeps himself in safe positions as he typically does, Wetzell should grind this one out en route to a clear decision.
