I know I’ve written this before, but wow, what a Stanley Cup Finals we’re getting this season! Three of the first four games have gone to overtime (or double overtime, in the case of Game 2), and we’re now down to a best-of-three series to determine the champion. For my best bet for Saturday, June 14th: NHL Predictions, we’re returning to Edmonton’s Rogers Place. Let’s go!
Best Bet For Saturday (June 14th): NHL Prediction
Florida Panthers vs Edmonton Oilers
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
While it’s been a thrilling Stanley Cup Final to watch, it’s been a challenging one to predict – and bet on – who will win from one game to the next. Both the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers have won on their opponent’s home ice, and both have won games in overtime.
The Oilers even yanked their starting goalie, Stuart Skinner, after letting in three goals last game, and came back and won the game behind the strong play of his replacement, Calvin Pickard. It’s as unpredictable as you can get.
I guess I’m betting on things reverting to the norm for Game 5, and for the home team to actually take advantage of their home ice advantage. The Oilers are 7-2 at Rogers Place during this playoff run, and with the Panthers already stealing one in their barn in Game 2, the odds would suggest that they won’t get another. Right?!
Edmonton on the moneyline is my best bet for Saturday.
