Just a day or so ago, Canada’s Stanley Cup hopes looked bright, with it being predicted as a 50-50 proposition that a team north of the border would hoist the Cup in June. But things done changed – and quickly – as three southern teams are now the leading candidates to become champion. Winnipeg Jets vs Dallas Stars

The Dallas Stars’ Stanley Cup hopes are being helped along by the Winnipeg Jets’ soon-to-be three-time Vezina Trophy winner, Connor Hellebuyck, having his trademark playoff swoon. Despite a shutout performance in Game 2 of this series, Hellebuyck is letting in 1.5 more goals per game in the postseason than in the regular season, and is only saving 84.8% of the shots directed at his net.
This includes letting in five goals in Game 3. I’m fading Hellebuyck and the Jets, and I’m adding Dallas on the moneyline as the first half of our winning parlay.
We’re adding to that a play on the total. Despite Hellebuyck’s poor play, I’m taking the under 5.5 goals for tomorrow’s game total. Game 3 was the only game in this series that topped this total, and all four of the Dallas-Winnipeg matchups in the regular season ended under 5.5 goals.
