Prelim Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 106
UFC Lightweight Fight: Jared Gordon vs Thiago Moises
Start Time: Saturday 4:00pm EST (ESPN+)
If there’s a fighter that’s been more unlucky on the judges scorecards in the last few years, Jared Gordon doesn’t know who it is. After putting in a performance that many people though should earn him the nod against Paddy Pimblett (now ranked #8 at lightweight), he saw the judges hand his opponent the decision. The same could be said of his last fight against Nasrat Haqparast.
Those fights see Gordon with a solid mixture of takedowns and volume punching. Both of those things I think he does quite a bit better than Moises. Despite that, the line is a pick’em, which means I think there’s a ton of value on the side of Gordon.
