Is the best goalie in the NHL, Connor Hellebuyck, “back”? After stopping all 21 shots directed his way in Game 2, earning his fourth career playoff shutout, perhaps Hellebuyck has shaken his playoff curse. Perhaps.
If Hellebuyck is back on his A game (or even closer to it than he normally is in the postseason), the Winnipeg Jets will be tough to beat, as they were last game when they pasted the Dallas Stars 4-0. Now the series shifts to Dallas, knotted up at 1-1.
And I think Winnipeg steals back the home ice advantage in Game 3 by getting the win. The Jets posted a 26-15 road record during the regular season, good for third best in the NHL, but have yet to win an away game in the postseason, so I’m expecting a reversion to the mean eventually. Tomorrow is as good a day as any for a reversion.
