Just like in the NHL’s Stanley Cup Playoffs, we only have one game on the NBA Playoffs calendar for tomorrow night. And, just like their brethren on the ice, this game is a do-or-die one for one of the teams involved, as all first-round NBA playoff series are from here on out. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Friday, May 2nd.
NBA Predictions & Preview For Friday, May 2nd
Houston Rockets vs Golden State Warriors
Start Time – 9:00 PM EST
The Houston Rockets got themselves into this conundrum, trailing the Golden State Warriors 3-2 in this series, by losing Game 3 despite Jimmy Butler being out for the Warriors. It’s been an uphill battle for the Rockets since then, but they did blast the Warriors in Game 5 by 15 points to push the series back to The Bay for Game 6 tomorrow night.
Can the Rockets pull off another win and get the series to a seventh game on their home court? Perhaps, but it won’t be easy. Golden State is a very strong home team (34-17 during the regular season) and held serve on their court for Game 3 and Game 4. However, while Houston may not win tomorrow night, I think they’ll keep it closer than the spread is at the books.
My line for Game 6 is Golden State -2.5, which means the value is on Houston plus the points.
Best Bet: Houston +5.5 (-110)
Overall Record: 173-147 (54%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $1,099.25
Return on Investment: 3%
