The UFC octagon is on the road again this week, travelling from Kansas City, Missouri, to the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, for this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Figueiredo. It’ll be the promotion’s first foray into Iowa since 2000, and its maiden voyage to Des Moines. For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: UFC Des Moines, we’re headed to Saturday’s main event! UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs Figueiredo (AKA UFC Des Moines)
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST (ESPN2/ESPN+)
Top bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Deiveson Figueiredo clash in our main event this weekend, but the moneyline is surprisingly wide in favor of Sandhagen. While I am picking him to win, a moneyline in the 400s on him is unplayable in my eyes.
So that’s why we’re playing Sandhagen to win via decision in Des Moines. He’s way bigger and younger than Figueiredo, which I think will play a big role in this fight. But the former flyweight champion Figueiredo is very durable, having only been stopped twice in his 29 pro MMA fight career.
