It’s nut-cutting time for a couple of teams in the NBA tomorrow, as the Detroit Pistons and the Los Angeles Clippers face win-or-go-home games. And I’m betting against both of them. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Thursday, May 1st.

New York Knicks vs Detroit Pistons

Start Time – 7:30 PM EST

The Detroit Pistons have staved off elimination once already – can they do it a second time and send the series back to New York for a decisive Game 7? Perhaps, but I think we’ll get a close Game 6 tomorrow in Motown.

The Knicks have won both games on Detroit’s court this series, but they were both nail-bitingly close. My line for this game is Detroit -0.5, so the Knicks plus the points is my play for tomorrow.

Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Clippers

Start Time – 10:00 PM EST

And to think the Denver Nuggets were being written off just a few days ago. Then the Los Angeles Clippers succeeded in their game plan and limited Nikola Jokic’s scoring in Game 5, only to have Playoff Jamal Murray show up and scorch them.

But at least the Clippers are at home tomorrow for Game 6. But they’re being favored by too many points. My line is Los Angeles -4, so the Nuggets plus the points is the way to go.
