The Minnesota Wild just won’t go away. Despite being one of the weakest teams, at least on paper, in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and despite their opponents, the Vegas Golden Knights, being one of the Cup favorites, the Wild have gotten themselves a Game 6 on their home ice, even with their goalie, Filip Gustavsson, taking ill and leaving partway through Game 5.
But the party has to end sometime, and I think it ends tomorrow night for the Wild. Minnesota jumped out to a 2-1 series lead before Vegas stormed back with back-to-back overtime wins in Games 4 and 5. And the Wild are a weak home team, ranking 21st in the league in home record, while the Golden Knights are one of the best teams (fifth) away from home this season. Plus, the Golden Knights have already beaten the Wild in St. Paul this series.
