Since tomorrow is Saturday, I thought I’d hit pause on the nothing but college basketball best bets, and change things up. That’s because Saturdays mean the UFC, at least in my house. For my best bet for Saturday, March 22nd: UFC Predictions, I’ll give you my best bet for UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Brady (aka UFC London). Off to The O2 Arena in London, England, we go!

UFC FIGHT NIGHT: EDWARDS VS BRADY (AKA UFC LONDON)
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST
Normally I would be wary of backing a fighter who hasn’t fought in over two years – the stats show that this is a recipe for a loss. But that is pretty much Gunnar Nelson’s modus operandi as of late, fighting once in 2023, and once in 2022, while sitting out 2020 and 2021. And he’s won his past two fights, so you can’t argue with the results.
And the Icelandic grappling ace is getting a very favorable matchup in his UFC return, facing Kevin Holland tomorrow. Holland hates wrestling and isn’t very good at it. Nelson will take him down as early and often as he pleases, and probably finish him on the mat. If not, Nelson is also tricky on the feet, with a karate style you don’t see too often in MMA.
