Underdog Fantasy Picks: NFL Combine 40-Yard Dash

That’s right, the NFL never sleeps and neither does Underdog Fantasy. The NFL Combine is taking place this weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts. The next generation of NFL stars will go through the process of interviews, medical exams, and drills. The most famous of those drills is the 40-yard Dash. So let’s take a look at some of my favorite Underdog Fantasy Picks for the NFL Combine’s 40-yard dash.

Underdog Fantasy is the easiest place to play fantasy sports. Playing their Pick’em game is as simple as selecting higher or lower on player stats like catches, yards, or fantasy points. Make entries of all football, or mix and match across your other favorite sports. You can win up to 100 times your money, and it’s a ton of fun.

Underdog is available in 30+ states, including California, Texas, and even Canada. Use promo code “RACESGPN” at Underdogfantasy.com to get a 50% deposit bonus of up to $1000.

TreVeyon Henderson Faster Than 4.41 Seconds

Ohio State’s star running back is one of the running backs running in Saturday’s drills. The 5-10 208 lbs senior from Hopewell, Virginia is projected to be selected late in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Henderson hit 22-mph max speed in 2024 and is projected to be right at a 4.40 second 40 time. It’s been reported he’s clocked in at 4.39 seconds already. With a class this competitive for running backs, I fully expect the national champion to use his speed to gain an edge.

Jalen Milroe Slower Than 4.38 Seconds

Not a lot of quarterbacks run the 40-yard dash, but Milroe has opted in this season. He’s got a chance to be one of the fastest quarterbacks to ever run in the event. So why take the slower side?

The unofficial all-time quarterback record for the 40-yard dash is Texas A&M’s Reggie McNeal back in 2006 with a time of 4.35 seconds. Is Milroe that fast? It remains to be seen, but I think he’ll clock in just slower than this number.

Matthew Golden Faster Than 4.41 Seconds

Last year it was Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy who broke the Combine record with a blazing 4.22 40 time. Matthew Golden isn’t that fast, but maybe he gets a few tips from his former teammate.

Golden has quickly been rising up draft boards, and a fast 40 time could help that even more. Golden has a background in track, meaning he’s already got a leg up on getting off to a quick start and using the proper techniques.

Cameron Skattebo Faster Than 4.6

Skattebo showed all the tools in Arizona State’s magical run last year. He’s explosive, when he gets in space he’s great with the ball. He can catch it, hell, he can even throw it well! But, where will he sit when it comes to top-end speed and his 40-yard dash time?

Of all the running backs in this loaded class, it could very well be argued that Skattebo’s 40-time will mean more to where he is drafted than any other. I’m a big believer that Skattebo will be productive on the next level, let’s see if he’s put in the work to get that 40-time just low enough to hit this projection.

Isiah Bond Faster Than 4.33 Seconds

Apparently things aren’t just bigger in Texas, they are faster. Isiah Bond may be one of the fastest players in this year’s 40-yard dash. After Worthy broke the record with a 4.22 last season, Bond posted to his Instagram “4.20 next year.” He’s had his eyes on the prize for a full year now.

Bond is a speedy man, he won both the state 100-meter and 200-meter titles as a junior in high school. Can Bond really challenge Worthy’s record? Probably not, but he can still be faster than that 4.33 projection Underdog is giving us.
