Best Bet For Thursday (February 27th): NHL Predictions
Calgary Flames vs Tampa Bay Lightning
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
The Tampa Bay Lightning’s long run as an elite team in the NHL is apparently not over quite yet, as they are on pace to top 100 points this season. And they are getting most of their damage done at home, sporting a 20-7-2 record on home ice this season.
The Lightning haven’t been playing with their food, as during their current six-game win streak, they’ve won five of the games by two goals or more. This brings us to my best bet for tomorrow. A Tampa Bay moneyline of -225 is of no interest to me. Instead, we’re going with the puck line.
When you add in the home-ice advantage and all the advanced stats, the Lightning are favored over the Calgary Flames by more than a goal and a half tomorrow night. And the way they’ve been steamrolling teams lately makes the puck line look like an even stronger play.
