Wade Taylor IV Higher Than 16.5 Points

Vanderbilt heads to College Station, TX for a game with Texas A&M. Vanderbilt struggles to defend the perimeter, and give up a ton of free throws. Taylor IV has a couple paths to going higher than 16.5 points here, and we should lock him up in our Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.

Taylor comes into this game averaging 15.0 points per game this year. He’s gone higher than 16.5 points in two of his last three conference home games. He somehow scored 18 points in a home game against Tennessee that saw him go 0-for-9 from deep.

Vanderbilt allows opponents to shoot 37.2% from beyond the arc. That’s 343rd in the nation. Taylor will make more than one three-pointer in this game.

The Commodores also allow opponents to average 19.6 free throw attempts. That’s 209th in the nation. Opponents also average 13.9 made free throws per game. That’s 189th in the nation. Taylor shoots 88.7% from the line at home this year.

Whether it’s from distance or up close, Taylor can get over 16.5 points a few different ways here. Texas A&M still has a path to a top-four seed in the SEC conference tournament and should show up for this one. Look for Taylor to get a full workload, and go higher than 16.5 points tonight.

Zvonimir Ivisic Higher Than 6.5 Rebounds

Arkansas big man Adou Thiero has already been ruled out for tonight’s match up with Texas in Fayetteville, AR. This could lead to additional rebound opportunities for Razorbacks center Zvonimir Ivisic.

Ivisic comes into this game averaging only 4.4 rebounds a game, but he usually plays next to Thiero. He won’t have to compete with Thiero for defensive boards tonight.

Ivisic also already faced the Texas Longhorns once this year in Austin. Thiero got in early foul trouble, and Ivisic ended up playing 35 minutes and pulling down 12 rebounds.

The Texas Longhorns enter this game allowing opponents to grab 34.3 rebounds per game. That’s 172nd in the nation, and the Longhorns don’t really have anyone who can match Ivisic’s size. The number is a little beefy for Ivisic, but he should see increased usage against a Longhorns team that’s a little soft on the inside. Lock up Ivisic to go higher than 6.5 rebounds tonight in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.

Micah Peavy Higher Than 2.5 Turnovers

Georgetown heads to Storrs, CT for a match up with UConn tonight. This could be a long night for Hoyas guard Micah Peavy.

Peavy comes into this game averaging 2.9 turnovers per game away from Washington, D.C. He’s gone higher than 2.5 turnovers in six out of nine conference road games this year. Peavy also faced UConn once this year and committed five turnovers in 35 minutes of play.

Peavy has played 40 minutes in six of his last eight games, so his usage rate is up. An increased usage rate and a tendency to turn the ball over typically means more turnovers. UConn has an athletic, veteran backcourt, and they should get Peavy to hand the ball back to the Huskies at least three times. Let’s ride with Peavy to go higher as the third leg of our Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for February 26th.
