For my best bet for Sunday, February 23rd: College Basketball Predictions, we’re checking in on a couple of the top teams in the American Athletic Conference who are going to battle in Memphis’s FedEx Forum. Let’s go!
Best Bet For Sunday (February 23rd): College Basketball Predictions
FLORIDA ATLANTIC OWLS VS MEMPHIS TIGERS
Start Time: 2:00 PM EST (ESPN+)
Who would win in a fight, an owl or a tiger?! If results from earlier this season are any indication, it would be the tiger. The Memphis Tigers put it on the Florida Atlantic Owls in their barn (see what I did there?!) by 28 points on January 2nd, and now they host them on their home court in FedEx Forum tomorrow afternoon, where they are 10-2 this season.
And I’m banking on the Tigers to devour the Owls again on Sunday afternoon on their home turf. Florida Atlantic, while a solid team, is not on the level they’ve been the past two seasons. And Memphis is on a roll (despite losing their last game in overtime), winning eight of nine and 12 of their last 13 games. This includes seven straight wins at home – they are undefeated at FedEx Forum in 2025. My line is Memphis -13.5
