Josh Dix Higher Than 1.5 3-Pointers Made
Washington heads to Iowa City for match up with the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Huskies allow opponents to shoot 38.0% from beyond the arc when playing on the road. This is a great spot for Iowa sharpshooter Josh Dix.
Dix enters this game shooting 43.8% from long distance at home. He also averages 2.2 made three-pointers at home this year. Dix has cleared 1.5 made three-pointers in home conference games six out of eight times this year.
Washington isn’t the best at defending the perimeter, but the spot makes this game attractive. Dix is comfortable shooting at home in front of his crowd, and has the trend on his side. The number is a little low because he’s only gone higher than 1.5 made three’s in four of his last eight. Two of the misses were on the road, and the other two were bad nights. Dix has gone higher in four of his last five and appears to have gotten his stroke back. Let’s go with Dix to make at least two three-pointers in our Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.
Obi Agbim Higher Than 2.5 Assists
San Jose State heads to Wyoming for a game with the Cowboys today. The Spartans allow opponents to average 14.9 assists per game. That’s 305th in the nation. This is a great spot and a fantastic number for Wyoming guard Obi Agbim.
Agbim enters this match up averaging 3.4 assists per game this year. He’s gone higher than 2.5 assists in four out of six conference home games. Wyoming also faced San Jose State on January 25th and dished out six assists in San Jose.
This is the case where it almost looks too good to be true. This number is a little light because Agbim only managed two assists against Colorado State and one against New Mexico. Both of those games were on the road, and he’s gone higher since then, but the recent results likely pushed this one down a bit. Let’s take the good spot at home, and lock up Agbim to go higher than 2.5 assists in today’s Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.
Cameron Matthews Higher Than 2.5 Turnovers
Mississippi State heads to Oklahoma for a match up with the Sooners today. Bulldogs forward Cameron Matthews should rack up a ton of turnovers in this spot.
Oklahoma’s defense averages 13.0 turnovers per game this year. That’s 84th in the nation. However, their average shoots up to 14.6 turnovers per game in Norman, OK.
Matthews averages 3.3 turnovers per game on the road this year. He’s gone higher than 2.5 turnovers in five out of six conference road games this season. Matthews has also managed over 2.5 turnovers in six of his last 10 games.
Oklahoma’s defense is 70th in the nation according to KenPom, and they average over 14 turnovers per game. Matthews is known for handing the ball over in road spots, and this is a rough match up for him. Matthews getting turned over at least three times is one of the safest plays on the board, and should be included in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for February 22nd.
