College Basketball Picks February 20

Maryland -11.5 vs. USC

The 20th-ranked Terrapins are the only ranked squad playing on Thursday in an odd Big Ten matchup against the Trojans. On numerous occasions this year, we have seen that West Coast Big Ten teams do not fare well playing on the East Coast, and East Coast Big Ten teams don’t fare well playing on the West Coast.

Take it up with the schools, but what sense does it make for USC to be in the Big Ten? I digress. Maryland is built for the NCA Tournament. With their combination of size, length, and speed, they’ll surely be a tough out for whoever gets the pleasure of facing them in the “Big Dance.”

Although I like Eric Musselman as a coach, they are a painfully boring squad that does not “wow” me on either side of the ball. I think Maryland should be able to go up and down the floor and score at will in this one!
