North Texas Mean Green vs Texas State Bobcats
Start Time – 4:00 PM EST
The Texas State Bobcats won last year’s First Responder Bowl, and they’re back to defend their title in Gerald J. Ford Stadium tomorrow afternoon against in-state rival the North Texas Mean Green. The bettors like the Bobcats’ chances at repeating, as they currently sit as a -14 point favorite heading into the game.
While I think they’ll probably win, I do like the Mean Green on the spread. This should only be set at a 3.5-point spread, by my math.
The second half of my parlay is the over 62.5 points for the game total. North Texas has one of the worst defenses in the nation, allowing 34.5 points per game (while scoring 34 themselves). Also, Texas State has the seventh most potent offense in the country, scoring 37.1 points per contest. I think this game will be a good old-fashioned Texas shootout.
