Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants Preview and Predictions

Anthony Richardson and his Indianapolis Colts head to East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday with their playoff hopes still alive. They’ll face off with the New York Giants and their rotating cast of quarterbacks on Sunday. The game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium and airs on FOX. Let’s dive in and take a look at this Colts-Giants preview and predictions.

The Indianapolis Colts currently sit as the first team “on the bubble” in the AFC playoffs picture. They are two games behind both the Broncos and Chargers. They’ll need help, including winning their last two games against the Giants and Jaguars. Then it’s a combination of the Chargers losing both of their last two games and potentially the Broncos also losing. There are a few different ways to get there, but the basics start with winning these two games.

There isn’t much to say about New York. We’ve all seen it unfold all season. The quarterback carousel, the fans with bags over their faces. Malik Nabers, one of the few bright spots on the team, is now a game-time decision on Sunday and it appears like Drew Lock will once again start, but as of this writing, it’s not been officially announced. If New York simply loses these last two games, the #1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is theirs.

Anthony Richardson Over 46.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Only the Carolina Panthers have a worse rushing defense this season than the New York Giants, and nobody gives up more big play rushes over 40 yards than them. Geno Smith, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Jalen Hurts all easily cruised past this number against the Giants. Richardson has hit 46 rushing yards in four straight games. Now the Colts are in a must win position, Richardson is still potentially playing to prove he deserves more time as their starter and this Giants team is already checked into their off-season vacation hotels. Richardson could easily hit this with just a scramble or two.

Indianapolis Colts -7 (-120)

The fact this line isn’t more than a touchdown seems criminal. Can Richardson and the Colts in general seem a little scary to bet on, especially after blowing a massive lead over the Titans last week, yes. But, they are still 9-6 against the spread this season while New York is just 4-11. The Giants are 1-9 over their last 10 games including being underdogs of 9.5 and 16.5 the last two weeks. This team is horrible from the top to the bottom and cannot be trusted. The Colts at least have something to play for and are the easy bet on Sunday.
