After an interminable one-day without any football action to watch and bet on, Thanksgiving brings us a feast tomorrow. For my best bet for Thursday, November 27th: NFL Predictions, we’re heading to Ford Field, home of the team with the most wins (and losses) on Thanksgiving Day in NFL history. Off to the Motor City, we go.
Best Bet For Thursday (November 28th): NFL Predictions
Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions
Start Time – 12:30 PM EST
The Detroit Lions have won 37 Thanksgiving Day games, but have also lost 45 games on Turkey Day. They also haven’t won a game on this holiday in seven years, with 2016 being the year of their last win. But, the difference this year is they are actually a good team – the best in the NFL, in fact. They’ve won nine straight games, running their record to an NFL-best 10-1 for the season.
Adding to their chances of snapping their Thanksgiving Day slump is that they are welcoming the mediocre Chicago Bears to Ford Field tomorrow afternoon. The Bears have lost five straight games and are 0-5 on the road this season. I have this spread for tomorrow calculated as Detroit -20 – that’s how much the gap is between these two teams.
The only reason you wouldn’t bet the Lions is if you believe in jinxes or other Thanksgiving-related superstitions. Don’t be dumb, bet on Detroit.
