The Formula One World Championship has reached its penultimate Grand Prix of the season. It’ll all wrap up next week with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This weekend the teams head to the Lusail International Circuit just outside of Lusail north of Doha, Qatar. The 3.367-mile track features a .664-mile main straightaway. It is considered one of the best in the Middle East and is surrounded by artificial grass to keep sand from blowing on the track. Let’s jump in and take a look at the F1 Qatar Grand Prix odds and best bets.
Last week F1 took to the streets of Las Vegas, racing down the strip past the Sphere and many of the historic landmarks and Casinos. Mercedes’ George Russell picked up his second win of the season, as teammate Lewis Hamilton finished second to complete the sweep of the top two podium spots for Mercedes. Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen wrapped up the Formula One Driver’s World Championship with his fifth-place finish. His fourth championship in as many years. All attention shifts to the Constructors title as McLaren tries to hold off Ferrari on a late charge.

F1 Qatar Grand Prix Odds and Best Bets
Nico Hulkenberg Points Finish (-120)
The Haas F1 driver has quietly put together a solid season. Tossing out the rain debacle race in Brazil, Hulkenberg has four straight-point finishes. If you expand it to finishes inside the top 11, Hulkenberg has six top 11s in the last seven Grand Prix. In the season, he finished in the points on nine occasions and within one spot of points in 16 of the 22 Grand Prix.
Lando Norris to Win Group 1 (+125)
Over on Caesars Sportsbook, they are offering “group 1” which features Lando Norris paired up with Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and Carlos Sainz. Las Vegas and Brazil weren’t the kindest of races for Lando, but Qatar sets up to be a great race for Norris and McLaren.
Ferrari has been good lately, winning in the US at COTA and again in Mexico. But have struggled on the higher-speed tracks, which Lusail is. Max Verstappen won a chaotic race in Brazil but hadn’t won a race since June prior to that. My expectation is for Lando Norris to win this race, or at least be on the podium, betting him this way allows his teammate Piastri or the Mercedes cars to win and still cash a good plus money bet on him.
Oscar Piastri to Win (+450)
The biggest thing Piastri has going for him is that his teammate is out of the drivers’ championship fight now. That means no more swapping positions and doing the right thing so his teammate can rack up the points. If Piastri is faster, he’ll keep the spot. Last year, before he was a Grand Prix winner before McLaren had made the strides to be able to compete for the Constructors title, Piastri scored a second-place finish in this very race to Max Verstappen. He’s got two wins and six podiums in the last 12 races, and his teammate is at half his price, Piastri offers a lot of value this week.
