Las Vegas Raiders at Miami Dolphins Preview and Predictions

Las Vegas Raiders at Miami Dolphins Preview and Predictions

The Las Vegas Raiders head east to meet up with the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The game will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida with kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS. Let’s jump in and take a look at this Raiders-Dolphins preview and predictions.

The Las Vegas Raiders haven’t had the season they’d hoped for. After 10 weeks they sit with a record of just 2-7 and losers of their last five in a row. Some early week reports stated that the team was going to turn to Desmond Ridder at quarterback to see what they have in the former Falcons starter. However, they’ve since announced Gardner Minshew will once again be the starter in Week 11.

It’s been an equally frustrating season for the Miami Dolphins who are just 3-6. Losing Tua Tagovailoa to concussion for a few weeks sent the team in a spiral. They’ve struggled to find that identity of being a high flying offense of the past few years, but did manage a win over the Los Angeles Rams last week at home.

Las Vegas Raiders at Miami Dolphins Preview and Predictions

Devon Achane Over 62.5 Rushing Yards (-119)

The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the worst rushing defenses in the league, averaging 129.2 yards per game given up on the ground. They’ve allowed some big games to opposing running backs as of late. Chase Brown (120), Kyren Williams (76), Najee Harris (106). Devon Achane’s’ reps as the main running back for the Dolphins continue to trend up and he takes over the bulk of the work and Raheem Mostert has stepped back. Achane has gone over this number in three of the Dolphins’ last four games.

Miami Dolphins -7 (-110)

Neither of these teams is particularly strong against the spread on the season. With the return of Tagovailoa and the Dolphins trying to find themselves again they’ve gone 2-0 against the spread in their last two games. This Raiders team is just falling apart, losing their last five games in a row and not even sure who to start at quarterback on a week to week basis. The Dolphins will show up at home and beat Las Vegas by more than a touchdown.
