Not surprisingly, the blazing-hot start to the season for my NBA picks has cooled off a bit, but I’m still in good shape as we head into another week of NBA action. Here’s your NBA predictions & preview for Monday, November 11th.

Sacramento Kings vs San Antonio Spurs

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

Despite not coming through for me a couple of nights ago, I’m giving the San Antonio Spurs another chance on Monday to not break my heart again. They’re a slight favorite over the visiting Sacramento Kings, but I think they should be a bigger one.

Sacramento played on Sunday, beating the Phoenix Suns in overtime, so they’ll have tired legs and have to play on the road in San Antonio. They may also be without key reserve Malik Monk, who left Sunday’s game after injuring his ankle. And the Spurs’ defense is stellar (for some reason, hmmm) – top four in the league.

Washington Wizards vs Houston Rockets

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

The Houston Rockets are putting it together in the early going of the NBA season, coming into Monday’s action at home with a 6-4 record and a top-five power ranking on Basketball Reference. On a less surprising note, the Washington Wizards stink, even finding a way to lose to Detroit on Sunday.

Houston has to be the pick here. Both teams played on Sunday, so that’s a wash. But Houston is at home, is by far the better team, and Washington has handfuls of key players either out for sure tomorrow or at least a game-time decision.
