The Miami Dolphins got their quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, back earlier than expected from his latest concussion, but it hasn’t helped them in the win column, as they’ve dropped both games since his return, falling to 2-6. On Monday they travel across the country to face the 4-4 Los Angeles Rams. And, despite this, the Rams are only a slight favorite.
I have this line pegged as Los Angeles -12 (based on the teams’ strength of schedule, their point differential, and the Rams’ home-field advantage), so I’m pleasantly surprised by the line. The Rams have won three straight games, are at home, and the visitors may be without their top receiver, Tyreek Hill, who appears to be a game-time decision with a wrist injury. Give me the Rams.
