Can it really be called a rivalry if one team has won 15 straight matchups and 22 of the last 24?! Because that’s what the South Carolina Gamecocks have done to the Vanderbilt Commodores in their ‘rivalry’ as of late. And the visiting Gamecocks are favored to make it 16 straight tomorrow in Nashville.
However, the home team is the one with the number before their name (currently ranked #24) and is the one I’m taking on the spread. The Commodores are 5-0 at home this season, including a win over #1 ranked (at the time) Alabama.
I have this game pegged right around where it is lined up currently – Vanderbilt +6 – but the thing that pushed it over the top for me and made it my best bet for tomorrow is the whole SGPN team is on it, and I’m a sucker for a team ride. Let’s go!
