Adama-Alpha Bal Higher Than 16.5 Points

Santa Clara Broncos wing Adama-Alpha Bal racked up 24 points in the season opener against St. Louis. Bal gets Arizona State on Friday night. The Sun Devils held Idaho State to only 48 points in their opener, but the Broncos are much better on the offensive side, and Bal should eat.

Bal averaged 14.4 points per game last year, but went higher than 16.5 points in two of his first three games last year. That run included 23 points on the road at Stanford. Look for Bal to go higher than 16.5 points against Arizona State and make sure he’s in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry on November 8th.

Braden Smith Lower Than 13.5 Points

Braden Smith lowers on points in Purdue’s non-conference slate is essentially a system play at this point. Smith fills up the stat sheet, but he’s not an elite scorer. He looks to distribute more often than not, and his point totals tend to suffer.

Smith racked up eight boards and 15 assists in Purdue’s season opener, but he only managed 12 points. In Purdue’s first five non-conference games last year, Smith failed to go higher than 13.5 points. Smith should end up going lower on Friday night against Northern Kentucky.

Tamar Bates Lower Than 6.5 Rebounds + Assists

Another one of our friends from last year is back! Tamar Bates posted three boards and three assists in Missouri’s season opener against Memphis. Bates averaged 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists last year for Mizzou.

Bates went lower than 6.5 rebounds and assists in each of his first 12 games last year. This is a system play that you want to have in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball pick’em entry for November 8th.
