Buffalo Bills at Seattle Seahawks Preview and Predictions

Josh Allen, Amari Cooper, and the Buffalo Bills head to Lumen Field in Seattle. They’ll take on Geno Smith, the 12th man, and the Seattle Seahawks. The game will kick off at 4:05 p.m. ET and air on Fox. Let’s dive in and take a look at this Bills-Seahawks preview and predictions.

The addition of Amari Cooper was immediately felt for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills last week in their 34-10 win over the Titans. Possibly more importantly, it allowed rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman to shine on the other side. That win propelled the Bills to a 5-2 record, and in strong control of the AFC East.

The Seattle Seahawks had an impressive Week 7 victory of their own. Taking the Atlanta Falcons to the woodshed on the road in the battle of the birds. That advanced their record to 4-3. That win may have cost them DK Metcalf this week, as the star receiver did not practice again on Thursday and looks like a long shot to play Sunday with his knee injury.

James Cook Over 60.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

The Seahawks have one of the worst rushing defenses in the entire league. They rank 28th out of 32 teams in their ability to stop the run, allowing 146.1 yards per game on the ground. I expect Buffalo to control this game and jump up early, and then turn to James Cook and the run. In games against sub par rushing defenses that Buffalo was in control of the game, Cook has had no issues clearing this hurdle.

Buffalo Bills -2.5 (-130)

The only teams the Buffalo Bills have struggled with this season are the elite teams. The Texans and Ravens were the two teams who beat them. The divisional rival Jets kept it close, and Arizona had them down for a little, but they went on to beat both teams by a bigger margin than this.

The bad teams they’ve destroyed in Tennessee and Jacksonville. Miami is another team they handled with ease even with Tua at the helm for the Dolphins. Seattle doesn’t fall into the bad category, or the elite category so I’d imagine they’ll keep it a game for a little while. Buffalo however is just too good of a team and this line simply isn’t big enough, even on the road.
