Jordan Love takes his Green Bay Packers on the road to So-Fi Stadium in Los Angeles for Week 5. They’ll take on Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams. This game will kick off Sunday, October 6th at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS. Let’s take a look at this Packers-Rams preview.
Love and his Packers enter the game with a record of 2-2 surprisingly enough, backup quarterback Malik Willis is the one who delivered the two wins for the team. Willis beat the Colts, and his old team the Tennessee Titans. In the Love games in Week 1, it was a close loss to the Eagles in Brazil. Then in Week 4 another close loss at home this time against the Minnesota Vikings.
This Los Angeles Rams team has been bitten by the injury bug big time. Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua headline a large group of players on the injured reserve. The Rams enter this game just 1-3. In Week 1 they took the Lions all the way to overtime before a Week 2 beatdown from the Cardinals. Week 3 the Rams were victorious in a big comeback against the 49ers. Last week they suffered a loss to the Bears and rookie Caleb Williams.

Green Bay Packers -3 (+100)
Both teams have had their share of injuries and losses to this point, but this is a great spot for the Packers. Jordan Love is back for his second straight game since missing weeks 2 and 3. The Rams have a much-needed early bye week in Week 6 that they are desperately trying to crawl toward as they look to heal up.
In Love’s two games, the Packers have been competitive against tough teams while the Rams have struggled against the likes of the Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears. Look for the Packers to jump out on the Rams early, as LA licks their wounds heading into the bye.
Josh Jacobs Over 65.5 Rushing Yards (-106)
Aaron Donald retired at the end of the 2023 season, and he’s left a big gap, literally and figuratively in the Rams’ rushing defense. Last week D’Andre Swift torched them for 93 yards on the ground and added an additional 72 through the air. In Week 3 Jordan Mason ran for 77 yards against the Rams.
In Week 2 it was James Conner who went for 122 yards, while Kyle Murray added 59 on the ground and Emari Demercado got 46 of his own. Week 1 David Montgomery ran for 91 yards. Josh Jacobs has been the Packers’ go-to guy on the ground. In Week 1 he rushed for 84 yards and followed it up in Week 2 with a 151-yard performance against the Colts. The Packers may jump up early and just grind this game out with Jacobs on the ground.
