The Green Bay Packers fresh off their first win of the season head to Teneessee to take on the winless Titans. The conversation has surrounded Titans quarterback Will Levis and the head scratching decisions he’s made. In NFL Week 2, Levis had a turnover that even left the Titans head coach asking Levis in so many words what he was thinking. Nonetheless, the cause can be made that the Titans should have at least one win in the 2024 campaign. Below are my Green Bay Packers and Teneessee Titans Preview and Predictions.
The Green Bay Packers sent the betting markets into frenzy when reports came out of Jordan Love returning to practice this week. A bit premature after sustaining a knee injury in week one? Possibly. But I don’t think the Packers would risk rushing Love back too soon. Afterall, they did pay him a record amount of money to the be successor of Aaron Rodgers.
Furthermore, the Packers won their Week 2 game against the Colts behind Josh Jacobs efforts. If the Packers were winless I can understand the urgency for Love to return. However, the Packers have a huge divisional game next week against the Minnesota Vikings. The Titans are up against it. They are one of three teams that are winless in the AFC South division. The case could be made that at minimum the Titans can be 1-1 heading to Week 3.
Packers at Titans Preview AND Predictions
Best Bets
As I mentioned above, the Titans at minimum should be 1-1 thus far this season. In Week 1 the Titans found a way to lose the game without giving up an offensive touchdown to the Bears. Last week, Will Levis made another decision in the redzone that even had their head coach saying some expletives.
I believe Malik Willis will remain the starting quarterback for the Packers for Week 3. Willis hasn’t been overly impressive throwing the football in his young NFL career. Yes, the Packers did get the win in Week 2 but that had more to do with the success on the ground for Josh Jacobs. Teams that are winless and are home favorites in Week 3 are 42-27 SU (60.9%). If those games are not within the conference teams are 11-7 SU with a slightly better win percentage at 61.1%.
There’s been plenty of conversation if this is a revenge game for Malik Willis. I believe it’s not. Check out below Malik Willis’s exact quote on facing the team that drafted him.
