Minnesota Vikings vs New York Giants Preview and Bets

Very interesting off-season and season-long outlooks for both of these teams. Some may disagree, but Giants Quarterback Daniel Jones enters the second year after becoming a 160 million-dollar man. This will be a massive year for Jones and The Giants.

They do not have the highest hopes in the world, but if he cannot play some good football this year, Giants fans will be calling for his head. Below, we will look at both sides: Minnesota Vikings vs New York Giants Predictions and Preview.

New York Giants vs Minnesota Vikings Predictions and Preview

The Giants QB situation is surely a story but we must mention what is going on in Minnesota. They drafted JJ McCarthy from Michigan with the 10th pick in this past NFL Draft. This may or may not have been a reach; we will be able to answer that question in a few years. Who else but former New York Jets QB Sam Darnold to get the nod in Minnesota. Truthfully, I believe he has had an unfair start to his career. Stuck in the New York Jets and Carolina Panthers systems was an impossible ask for Darnold. This season, he has a great mind with Kevin O’Connell to work with, along with so much talent around him.

We cannot forget how heavily touted Darnold was coming into the league from USC. I have heard great things about Darnold this offseason with this Minnesota supporting cast.

Defensively, I would give the nod to the Giants. They under achieved last season in my opinion and had a massive off-season add with Brian Burns. He and Kayvon Thibodeaux have the ceiling and upside to lead the league in sacks.

New York Giants vs Minnesota Vikings Bets

Minnesota are too-point road favorites and this game has a total of 41.5 points. In my opinion, this is one of the sharpest lines on the board this week. Picking a winner is really tough as I can see this game coming down to the wire with both the total and spread being a sweat. I am high on Sam Darnold but I am not sure how excited I would be betting him as a road favorite just yet. Throw in giving the nod to the Giants defense, home field, and it being a prove it year for Jones has me leaning towards NY here.
