The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for June 10

Sam Bennett Higher Than 0.5 Points (1.1x Odds)

These Florida Panthers are battle-tested and experienced. Both of the aforementioned characteristics were on full display for Game 1. Tonight in Game 2, I would expect them to play a significant role again. We’ve donned the value hunter glasses and spotted Panthers’ centerman Sam Bennett for the second straight time.

If the good folks at Underdog continue putting 1.1x Odds on Bennett to tally a point, then we’ll gladly accept. Sam now has a four-game point streak cooking, and I see his name on the box score tonight. He finds the sweet spots on the ice and knows how to get under the opponents’ skin.

Add in the fact that Bennett has contributed in several key areas, and you’ve got yourself a bargain here. So let’s go ahead and grab Sam Bennett to go Higher Than 0.5 Points in Game 2 against the Oilers.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Higher Than 0.5 Assists (1.1x Odds)

Any Oilers fan who watched Game 1 probably went to the bar directly upon its conclusion. They were shut out by the Panthers and had very little to feel excited about. But, they have as much a chance as we degens do at redemption here tonight. We’ve kept those value hunting glasses on and spotted an apple in the eye of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.

The “nuuuge”, as he is sometimes referred to, put together a 67-point regular season. Here in the Playoffs, he has tallied an astounding 14 assists across 19 games. So if we’re going to get 1.1x odds on his assist tonight, we surely have to take it. I’m not ready to put that much stock into the Oilers being blanked in Game 1.

And I surely wouldn’t bet it happens for a second straight game, either. We’re going to take Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Higher Than 0.5 Assists and cash this dang ticket.
