Pittsburgh Penguins vs Los Angeles Kings
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
The struggling Pittsburgh Penguins scuffle into Los Angeles tomorrow for their only trip to visit the Kings, riding a four-game losing skid as well as a seven-game road winless streak. Times are not good for Sidney Crosby and company. However, rolling into crypto.com Arena is usually good news for the away team, as the Kings are weak at home (2-4-0 this season, 15-17-9 last year).
However (again, which cancels out the previous however), as hinted at above, the Penguins are lousy away from Pittsburgh, only winning once on the road this season (1-6-1). Both teams are anemic on offense (Pittsburgh: 18th in goals for, Los Angeles: 26th), with the difference being the Penguins can’t keep the puck out of their own net either, ranking 25th in goals allowed (the Kings are eighth).
In this matchup of crummy teams, I’ll go with the home side with slightly better defense. Los Angeles on the moneyline is my best bet for Saturday.
