The Quick Pick: Daily NHL Underdog Fantasy Pick ’em Picks for May 15

Tyler Seguin Higher Than 0.5 Points

The Dallas Stars head home on Wednesday night, where they will have a chance to dust off the Avalanche. The series has been pretty one-sided thus far, and the Stars are getting contributions from plenty of guys. So, our first NHL Underdog entry lands on the shoulders of Stars veteran Tyler Seguin. Throughout the playoffs, Seguin has accumulated seven points across 11 games. But Seguin comes into Game 5 on a three-game point streak. And, in the regular season, Seguin dropped six points on the Avs in just three games against.

Oh, by the way? Seguin netted two goals in each of those three games for a whopping six-goal season performance against Colorado. So, the value is there, and on Wednesday night, it will be about execution. Go ahead and grab Mr. Tyler Seguin to go Higher Than 0.5 Points in Game 5 against the Avalanche.

Nathan Mackinnon Higher Than 0.5 Goals

The Colorado Avalanche have arrived at the do-or-die portion of their Playoff run. On Wednesday night, this team will need to leave everything they have on the ice. And they’ll need to do it without Valeri Nichushkin and possibly Devon Toews. We’ve kept our value-hunting glasses on and have spotted a Nathan Mackinnon goal. This guy had 140 points in the regular season and scored 51 goals.

He has looked a bit pedestrian in this series, with just one goal in the first four games. But desperation will seep through, and Mackinnon will be the focal point for both 5v5 and the Power Play. Even if the Avs do fall tonight, I would really expect a 110% performance from Mr. Mackinnon. So, let’s consume this two-pack snack and press the Higher Than 0.5 Goals on Nathan Mackinnon. We want to cash a banger!
