Underdog Fantasy NBA Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – March 18
Jalen Duren – Higher than 0.5 Double Doubles
Jalen Duren has been a double double machine this year. He has one in six of his last seven games, with the only slip up being his game with the Mavericks in which he only played 16 minutes. If we want to run it back a bit more, he’s had double doubles in 11 of his last 13 games. While filling out the stat lines is a little harder against the Celtics, Kristaps Porzingis is banged up and may not play.
Lauri Markkanen – Lower than 23.5 Points
Lauri Markkanen returns to the court for the first time in two weeks to face the Timberwolves. That’s a rough welcoming back to the league being that Minnesota is first in the league in limiting opponents’ scoring. He only had 22 points against them last time when he had been healthy. With a hamstring on the fritz, I can’t imagine he comes out that strong.
Bogdan Bogdanovic – Lower than 15.5 Points
Bogdanovic doesn’t nearly have as tough of a matchup as Markkanen does, but he’s been banged up lately as well. He went into the locker room last night during the fourth quarter. While he returned to the floor and didn’t appear to be in distress, it’s something worth monitoring.
Even if you think he’s fine and is going to play the full game, there is a reason to like the ‘lower than’ here. He has played a full complement of minutes over the last couple games, but hasn’t managed more than 11 points in those contests.
