Myrtle Beach Bowl: Ohio vs Georgia Southern

Ohio to WIN over Georgia Southern (+152)
Ohio is a 9-3 team that has won its last three games outright. Georgia Southern is 6-6 and has lost four straight games, both outright and against the spread. Ohio should be the favorite here – the fact that we’re getting plus money is a gift. Take Ohio to win.

New Orleans Bowl: Jacksonville State vs Louisiana

Jacksonville State to WIN over Louisiana (-135)
Jacksonville State is a worthy favorite in this game against the Ragin’ Cajuns. They have won the last four out of five both outright and against the spread. Louisiana has lost three out of the last four, including two games that they were favored in. Take Jacksonville State while the juice is still low.
Cure Bowl: Miami (OH) vs App State

Miami (OH) to COVER the +6.5 spread against App State
This game should be a brawl. Miami’s five-game winning streak, including its upset victory in the MAC Championship, should propel them to hold their own against a team the caliber of App State. This game should be a close one – certainly closer than a touchdown.

New Mexico Bowl: New Mexico State vs Fresno State
5:45 PM on ESPN
New Mexico State and Fresno State to go UNDER the 51.5 total
The combination of New Mexico’s highly-ranked defense and two low-scoring offenses should keep this game below the 51.5 total. Fresno State hasn’t scored more than 20 points in the past three games, and New Mexico has had games in the past month that the team total hit seven and 10. This game shouldn’t touch 50 points.
LA Bowl: UCLA vs Boise State
7:30 PM on ABC
UCLA to COVER the -3.5 spread against Boise State
UCLA played in a TOUGH PAC-12 conference this season and won seven games. Boise State managed to win one more game and get to eight, but against a much weaker schedule. UCLA should both win and cover here – this spread is just too close.
Independence Bowl: California vs Texas Tech
9:15 PM on ESPN
California to WIN against Texas Tech (+135)
Cal has stacked up an impressive resume in the PAC 12 this season. They finished with three straight wins against UCLA, Stanford, and Washington State. Texas Tech equaled Cal’s record with six wins of their own but in a less impressive conference. Take the value here with California +135.
